Savoir was a luxury French marketing company based in Paris, that specializes in everything beauty and refinement. They worked with a number of brands from Chanel to YSL. It is a closed subsidiary to the American conglomerate the Gilbert Group.
The company has since shut down with Sylvie Grateau branching to create a new company, Agence Grateau.
History[]
Savoir was founded by Paul Brossard in an unknown year, and he grew the company to be one of the largest marketing firms in France. He secured clients from all avenues of beauty and luxury. He sold the company to the American corporation the Gilbert Group, which promised to help expand the companies international portfolio to reach the American audience. Part of their deal was the Gilbert Group would send one of their marketing executives to assist in the transition. Their first pick was Madeline Wheeler, who was unable to follow through on her relocation. In lieu of her events, the company sent Emily Cooper in her place.
Through the workings of Emily and the employees at Savoir, the company continued to grow. This included new accounts such as haute couture designer Pierre Cadault, Hästen’s Luxury Beds, a large social media event regarding Vaga-Jeune, and a launch event for Fourtier. They helped expand their longest client Maison Lavaux with a new scent line, secured a Vespa deal in association with Dior, and expanded the Champère line. Despite the inner-workplace drama, the company continued to flourish.
Madeline Wheeler of the Gilbert Group makes an unexpected visit to the French office to check on the newest acquistion. Her presence begins to affect the office as she and Sylvie have growing friction between them. Madeline dives into Savoir's financials and learns that they haven't updated their fees to match their clients success, which has resulted in them losing money. She is appalled to learn that Sylvie accepted lesser payments from Maison Lavaux in exchange for their three-year affair. She forces Savoir to take on Grégory Elliott Duprée as their next client, despite his public feud with their established tempermental client, Pierre Cadault. The event seemingly goes well until it's over, and Pierre promptly fires Savoir as his marketing firm. Madeline turns on Sylvie, who was supposed to handle the event and mitigation between the two rivals. Sylvie bluntly states the mess is on Madeline, who then fires Sylvie. However, Sylvie announces her resignation and the resignation of the entire office in response. Emily later learns that Sylvie resigned from Savoir to start her own marketing firm, and that several clients agreed to transition to her company once she launched. In the meantime, they stayed part of Savoir's clientel. Sylvie offers Emily a job at the new firm, all she has to do is take it.
