Lily Collins is a British-American actress, model, and writer. She portrays Emily Cooper in Netflix's Emily in Paris.
Biography[]
Lily Collins is the daughter of English musician Phil Collins and his second wife, Jill Tavelman, an American who is the former president of the Beverly Hills Women's Club.[1]
She has had leading roles in films such as the sci-fi action-horror film Priest (2011), the psychological action-thriller Abduction (2011), and the fantasy film Mirror Mirror (2012) in the role of Snow White.
In 2013, she received wider recognition after taking on the role of Clary Fray in the fantasy film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, for which she was nominated for the Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actress – Action and an MTV Movie Award. She is also known for her roles in independent films, such as the romantic comedy-drama Stuck in Love (2012), the romantic comedy The English Teacher (2013), and the romantic comedy-drama Love, Rosie (2014).[2]
Recently, she portrayed Fantine in BBC's adaptation of Les Misérables, Ted Bundy's girlfriend Liz Kendall in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile and Edith in Tolkien.[2]
Collins is also a published author. In 2017, she published her first book 'Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me', where she makes several revelations about her life, including her battle with an eating disorder. The struggle helped her work on the Netflix film "To The Bone", which was about a young girl battling anorexia nervosa.[2]

- The dress Emily models in An American Auction in Paris is designed by Stephane Rolland Haute Couture. The first version of the dress gets splattered in paint, but Rolland sent Lily Collins a second dress and shoes to keep after filming.
- Emily in Paris is the second Netflix original that Lily worked on. The first being Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile a biopic of the Ted Bundy cases.
