— Official Netflix Synopsis
Plot[]
Emily attempts to avoid Camille and Gabriel in the morning and her avoidance results in a text message from Camille asking if they can talk. She shares this with Mindy, who jokes about not going anywhere with sharp objects in case Camille does know that Emily kissed Gabriel the other night. Mindy has plans that night to go wedding dress shopping with her friends Shay and Li from Shanghai, which will be followed by some clubbing. She invites Emily along and Emily agrees to come with her since Mindy hasn't told her friends she is a nanny, not in business school, and poor.
At lunch, Camille asks Emily if Savoir would consider representing her family's chateau and champagne company. Emily impulsively agrees, with Camille excited and invites her to see the chateau and meet her family. Camille assures Emily that Gabriel won't be there and she isn't interested in talking about it further, as things have been difficult since he refused her parent's money.
When Emily pitches the chateau idea to Sylvie she realizes how little she knows about the company business-wise. Her agitation over Sylvie, Luc, and Julien's innuendos that her interest in the account is over Gabriel, leads her to snap that she hasn't slept with Gabriel as they think.
That night, Emily goes clubbing with Mindy and her friends and see the wild streak that the women have. Mindy introduces Emily to Li, the bride, who came to Paris because Mindy wouldn't come to Shanghai. Emily pretends as though Mindy has told her about Li, which Li finds relieving even though she doesn't know anything about Mindy's life in Paris. Li quickly becomes distracted when a man brings over more champagne, and she sprays it everywhere while Mindy assures Emily that they'll just buy more even though it's expensive.
The next morning, Emily is loading her bags into Camille's car when Gabriel appears as he had the weekend off after all and decided to come along despite the tension between him and Camille's family. The ride is awkward since Emily has to sit on Gabriel's lap for the two-hour ride due to the size of the car.
Once they arrive, Camille reminds Gabriel to be nice to her mother and they enter the house. Once introductions are made between Camille's mother Louise and Emily, Emily goes out to the pool despite Gabriel's light protests. She finds a naked man by the pool who turns out to be Gérard, Camille's father. The awkward moment is spared when Louise sends Gabriel and Emily out to the market, but Emily dodges the opportunity as she doesn't want to be alone with Gabriel. She admits as much to him as such when they are alone, and she opts for a tour of the vineyard instead.
Emily enjoys herself there and partakes in a competition of turning champagne bottles a quarter turn lead by Timothée, the attractive tour guide. Emily wins and then learns that the guide is Camille's brother.
Gabriel cooks dinner for the family and Emily learns a few more of the family's house rules, specifically that they don't discuss business at the table. Things are enjoyable until Louise brings up Gabriel not accepting their money and help, which leads to a confrontation between them and Camille. Gabriel ultimately leaves to check on a dish in the kitchen, so Emily asks Timothée to take her and Camille's picture. When she uploads it she notices an uptick in followers.
Meanwhile, in Paris, Mindy is having a decent time at Li's bachelorette party which is filled with drunken activities. This includes going to a drag club where Mindy's friends reveal that they know everything about Mindy's life in Paris, including that she is a nanny and not in school. The only thing they don't understand is why she isn't singing. Shay tricks her on stage where Mindy sings Chandelier by Sia, the same song she bombed on Chinese Popstar. This time, she nails the song, and the crowd cheers while Emily happily watches the Instagram live. She watches them spray bottles of champagne everywhere out of happiness.
Her happiness is cut short by the sounds of Camille and Louise fighting over Gabriel, so she goes outside by the pool to get some quiet. She is joined by Timothée and they drink champagne as they flirt. The flirtation escalates until they are making out and have sex that night.
In the morning, Emily wakes up late and notices that Timothée left a hickey on her neck. She attempts to cover it with a high collared shirt. She rushes down to breakfast where she meets Théo, Camille's brother who is home from college. Emily is confused as she thought Timothée was Camille's brother, but everyone laughs as Timothee is her brother but is also seventeen. He did graduate college, which the equivalent of American high school. Emily is in shock and struggles to compute the information, just as Timothee appears and kisses her in front of everyone. This also exposes the mark on her neck just as Gabriel is ready to serve breakfast. Louise asks to speak with Emily privately.
Once alone, Louise asks if her son is a good lover as she worries for her children's future especially Timothée who isn't as intellectual as her other children. Emily assures her that he was adequate. Louise offers to call Emily a car so she can leave after being embarrassed, but Emily wants to talk business instead. She pitches that they create a bottle spray, showing the video of Mindy and her friends spraying the bottle the night before. This way, clients will have a bottle to spray and a bottle to sip, and a bottle to sip. Louise worries about their legacy, so Emily suggests creating a second label, Champère, and Louise is intrigued.
Emily, Camille, and Gabriel pack up the car again to return to Paris. Camille assures Emily that Louise was impressed with her presentation, with Gabriel teasing her about the encounter with Timothée. Emily worries this will affect their work relationship but Camille assures her that it's fine as she doesn't care who Emily dates. She's happy that Emily is in with her family now. Emily worries it will be weird, but Gabriel quips that they're all adults here - except Timothée. This teasing continues as the trio drives off together.
