Erik is a photographer. He catches Sylvie's eye while shooting a Savoir event, leading to their love affair.
Sylvie arranges for Erik to do the photoshoot for Vespa, but unbeknownst do her, Julien secures a photoshoot Ellen von Enwerth instead, which upsets her.[1] She reveals this to Erik and, while he's disappointed, he hopes it won't affect their relationship. This is refreshing to her and they continue to have their affair. He wants her to meet his friends, though she feels insecure over their relationship being public. He doesn't want to be her secret. She realizes she doesn't care what anyone thinks and goes to the lunch with him. Erik serves as Savoir's photographer for many events. He later learns that Sylvie is legally married to Laurent Grateau, though the couple aren't together. This confuses him, though he doesn't press the issue right away.
